“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope;”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭130‬:‭5‬ ‭ESV‬‬
It's that time when some churches are ending their fast and did a lot of powerful conferences to kick start the year. Speaking from experience Harvesters International's Winepress was powerful, a lot of testimonies, miracles and encounters and Spiritual awakening happened even little kids fell under the anointing! The atmosphere right now is so positive with everyone's Spiritual batteries charged. However, there is an exercise that we were asked to do which was to do a video of our winepress experience so we can go back to it as a reminder.

Firstly, I like the fact that we were told to do the video in our present state. Secondly, that made me realize that there will also be a waiting period. Don't get me wrong some people will get instant miracles and testimonies while some will have to wait for some time. God has heard our prayers and is working behind the scenes for that prayer to have a glorious outcome. This is the time the devil will come to attack!

“but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13‬:‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When people go back to their normal activities and it seems like they are stuck or things get worse, then they start to get frustrated and that's when the devil sows the seed of doubt, worry and anxiety.

There is a parable that most Christians know really well and the parable I am talking about is the parable of the Sower (Mark4:1-20). However, while reading the passage again something struck me about these set of people:
“Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.””
‭‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I feel like this is so common with a lot of Christians, after taking in the word they are excited but when troubles come then everything fades away. Wow! Where is your seed planted? the rocky place or the good soil? Please let's pray to be like the one's Sown on good soil:

Work can get overwhelming, and we can easily get stressed and frustrated but the devil will use that avenue to plant bad seeds. That promotion might not seem like it's happening, you might get rejected so many times but don't worry that's just the work of the devil to frustrate you. Ask God to help you not forget what he has said concerning your life, try not to lose faith by what you see and pray and ask the Holy spirit to help you keep your fire burning for God.
Matt 24:35 says:
“Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.”

Someone said, "Don't be a January Christian" and at first it sounded funny, but I later realized how very true that is. We need to be consistent with God's word and grow spiritually, that's why a lot of people finish the year and feel like all their prayers were not answered or goals not accomplished. Pastor Bolaji said, spiritual connectivity is likened to a Wi-Fi connection which everyone can connect to, and everything starts working but once you switch that off you will definitely loose connection, however, thank God you can always connect back again so you can tap into the fullness of God's blessings.
Let's not loose connection.

Let's Pray:
Thank you Lord, for your word today and we ask that you help us to stay connected to you even when troubles come. Amen!

Shalom!
